Removable Dentures and Partials

What are Dentures?

Dentures are removable dental prosthetics designed to replace missing teeth and restore both function and appearance. Partial dentures are ideal for patients who are missing only a few teeth, while full dentures are used to replace an entire arch of teeth.

Dentures can be made from durable materials such as acrylic and are designed for a comfortable, secure fit. Depending on your needs, they may be supported by natural suction, dental adhesives, or a metal framework that attaches to your remaining healthy teeth.

Dentures provide a convenient and cost-effective solution for restoring your smile, improving your ability to eat and speak, and boosting your confidence.

To find out whether partial or full dentures are right for you, contact our office today—we’re here to help you smile with confidence again.

Blue box (where it says Focused customer) What is the timeline to receive my complete or partial dentures?

The process for complete dentures typically requires about 3–4 appointments before final delivery. For partial dentures, treatment usually takes 2–3 appointments. Each patient’s case is unique, so we encourage you to speak with your dental provider for a more detailed timeline tailored to your needs.

I am having discomfort after receiving my dentures

It is common to experience minor discomfort as your mouth adjusts to new dentures. In some cases, your dentures or partial may need a simple adjustment if they are placing too much pressure on certain areas. Please contact our office so we can make the necessary adjustments and ensure a comfortable fit.

My Dentures broke. What do I do?

If your dentures or partials break, do not attempt to repair them with glue, as this can cause further damage. Please schedule an appointment with our office so your dentist can evaluate the prosthesis. Some fractures can be repaired, while more extensive damage may require replacement.

Frequently asked questions about Dentures?

To keep your dentures clean and comfortable at home, rinse them after every meal to remove food particles, and brush them daily with a soft-bristled denture brush using a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser—never regular toothpaste, which can scratch them. Soak your dentures overnight in a denture-cleaning solution to keep them moist and prevent warping. Handle them carefully to avoid drops or damage, and always rinse thoroughly before putting them back in your mouth. Regularly check for any cracks, chips, or discomfort, and schedule follow-ups with your dentist to ensure a proper fit and oral health.
